Product Description

C04-42 ALKYD ENAMEL is a single component glossy alkyd gloss enamel finish, which is made up of alkyd resin, pigment, organic solvent and variety of auxiliary agent. It has a excellent performance of gloss and colour durability, in outdoor.

Intended uses

Mainly used for topcoat. Suitable for coating on the surface of steel structure, wood things and building, belonging to high-class outdoor self-cured paint.

Service Temperature

Maximum service temperature is up to 60 ℃ in dry condition.

Typical Thickness: 40 ~ 60 macrons dry equivalent to 70 ~ 100 macrons wet.

Application Details

Application Method: Airless spray, Air spray, brush, roller.

Recommended thickness of each film: 35 macrons dry ( 20 macrons wet ), in case of thicker film, overcoating time for time is necessary. Before overcoating, the former layer should be thoroughly dry.

System Compatibility: Before application of this topcoat, the surface to be coated should have existed primer. See also the alkyd primer, epoxy primer and phenolic primer from the products catalogue of our company.

Surface Preparation

1. All metallic surface to be coated for the first time should be cleaned and free from contamination such as grease, inorganic salt, duct and so on. May perform the distinguish and treatment in accordance with the standard ISO8504-1:1992.

2. Any surface with old paint should be cleaned and free from contamination such as grease., dust and water. And then be partially repaired. May perform the distinguish and treatment in accordance with the standard ISO8504-1:1992

3. Areas of breakdown, damage etc., should be prepared to the specified standard (e.g. Sa2-1/2 --- ISO8501-1:1988).

Application Precautions

1. Prior to application, this material should be thoroughly agitating and filtering for free of pigment deposition occurred during storage.

2. No touch with such materials, e.g. water, oil, acid, alkali and so on during application.

3. No fire and good ventilation in application site.

4. Slight chromatic aberration might be found in different lots of product. In case of special requirement, please do not hesitate to let COLOUR-WAY know in advance.

5. To prevent from surface curding, a little terebinth and #200 solvent oil might be covering on the surface of residual paint.

Storage

Storage Condition: Store in dry, shaded condition away from shining and heat source.

Shelf Life: At 25 ℃ part B 12 months minimum and part A 6 months minimum. As to those paint, which is over than shelf life but is inspected well just then, is permitted to be still in the use.
